I was seriously ill with pneumonia but am feeling much better and well on the road to recovery (I hope your happy to here). Don't really have much to offer in the way of academic input and am feeling rather left behind after missing five excellent lectures of my favourite module. Guess I have a lot of catching up to do, I will most likely be spending my holiday period reading lecture notes on Wolf and soaking up the wealth of knowledge it has to offer, in the hope that my next blog will be more subject/module based. So think of me studying away while you enjoy your Turkey, but have a great break all the same (",).

Unlike charlie I didn't find today's lecture as interesting as some of the previous one's. Hadn't really given it much thought before today's session, not saying its persuading me in any way, but was interesting to see different views upon it, again one persons definition is not going to be shared by all. What is classed as infidelity, is flirting a form of infidelity? A point was raised by one student saying that as long as flirting is not seen by your partner it is not infidelity. This was then questioned regarding cheating and sleeping around being acceptable as long as not seen by ones partner. A clear case of "what you don't see doesn't hurt you", but is ignorance really that bliss?

On betrayal. I didn't agree with the definition given on the handout taken from KUNDERA, M. The unbearable lightness of being. In my own understanding and belief betrayal would occur when you break a pact or an agreement. If we fall shall or do not fulfill someone elses expectations for us, were probably all guilty of betraying all the time. To not be found guilty of betrayal we would have deny self and live for others.

Many may not agree with my definition as i stated earlier 'one person's definition is not going to be shared by all. But this definition is the right one! Just beggining to get to grips with this university lark, but still have a long way to go before mastering it, well even me saying getting to grips with it sounds a little optimistic but I am aiming to be slightly more optimistic in my approach of late, that being my approach to university and life in general. Not much has happened since my last installment but thought I better make a guest appearence (in writing) as as far as I am aware the amount of bloggs we register will account to our final grade so you will be hearing from me on a regular as I am so determined to gain my degree.

Well I know that was slightly BORING, boring being an understatement but still haven't figured out how to attatch pictures and links to external web pages, but you can be sure as soon I figure it out, Blogger will be inundated them.

The only reason I entered this installment was to avoid "being bad" by emitting this relevant part of the module (regular posting bloggs) because as I have already stated, I am so determined to get my degree. So until next time, don't be good, don't be safe, just be you (",).

O.K it is Wednesday 22nd Oct 2003 and has been exactly a week to this day that I created my blog. However, as part of my 'being bad' research I thought I would not post/publish my 1st blog on my created blogs birthday, but see how it would be to defy the tutors expectations and, lets say post/publish it in my own time. However my good nature and conscience would not let me hold out any longer, hence today's publishing.
As far as I am aware the majority of students registered to the 'Being Bad' module are playing away today at Alton Towers, and I, in trying to be bad chose to stay in sunny Wolverhampton and 'lounge', but this conscience of mine would not let me do so and has dragged me kicking and screaming out of bed to the Harrison learning center in order to write this blog for whom it may concern, or be of any interest to, to read (which I sincerely hope you fully enjoy).
As is clearly evident from this first installment of mine, I am trying to partake and contribute to the mere concept of 'being bad' in order to get some hands on experience (the best teacher of course), but unfortunately appear to be falling at each hurdle as this goody goody two shoes conscience of mine just wont let sleeping dawgs lie (referring to this mornings lie in).
I do believe that there is something innately instilled within us (human beings) that gives us a clear way of differentiating between good and evil, right and wrong although unfortunately some are just more in touch than others, but is it unfortunate? If we all lived by the same standards and moral values would the world be inhabited by a 'boring' mankind? I do firmly believe that it takes 'different strokes for different folks' in all aspects.
